DAILY READINGS: Judges 21; Isaiah 40; 1 Corinthians 16

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It [is] the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. Exodus 12:26-27

God did not want His people to forget this miraculous deliverance, and so the Passover memorial was instituted. The Lord’s Supper is the same. We were not there at Calvary but we must never forget it. “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed". Let us bow and worship today. —Edwin Fesche

We soon shall join the white robed throng, we soon shall walk by sight;
Till then, by faith we raise the song, by faith in Thee delight.Anon.
