In a graveyard in the Parish Church of Cupar in Scotland is a headstone which says “Here lies interred the heads of Laurance Hay and Andrew Pitulloch who suffered martyrdom at Edinburgh for adhering to the word of God.” Many of us may have had little experience of real suffering because of our faith in Christ. Let us remember the many today who do suffer for being a Christian. —Brian Powlesland
