DAILY READINGS: Exodus 13 to 14:4; Psalms 47-48; Acts 7:1-29 The day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. Song Of Solomon 3:11 The wedding day of Solomon anticipates the coming marriage of the Lamb. Solomon had wooed and won the bride’s affections and now the joyful day of consummation had arrived. Our Beloved paid a great price for His bride, even His own life’s blood at Calvary. The day is soon to come when He will claim His bride and take her to Himself, to share His love, His Throne for all of eternity. What a day of rejoicing that will be. —W. H. Burnett
O the blessed joy of meeting, the entire desert past! O the wondrous words of greeting, He shall speak at last. He and I together entering, those bright courts above, He and I together sharing, all the Father’s love. —Paul Gerhardt |
