DAILY READINGS: Exodus 12:21-51; Psalm 45-46; Acts 6 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. 1 Corinthians 10:17
As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are intimately united to Him. This brings wonderful privileges and responsibilities. One such privilege will be our participation today, in countries all around the world, in a remembrance feast to Him. As for responsibilities in this context, we would do well to heed the exhortation, “Let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup” (1 Cor. 11:28). Besides examination, we need to fill our hearts to the brim with love, devotion and worship. Then what a joy it will be to pour them out before Him. —Drew Craig
Thy body broken for my sake; my bread from heaven shall be; Thy testamental cup I take and thus remember Thee. —J. Montgomery |
