DAILY READINGS: Exodus 10; Psalms 42-43; Acts 4:32 to 5:11 LORD, I have loved the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thine honour dwelleth. Psalms 26:8 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass Thine altar, O LORD. Psalms 26:6
The Psalmist loved to spend time in the presence of the Lord, meditating at the altar and dwelling on His beauties. He was conscious that such communion needed personal, spiritual preparation. He promised to approach God with washed hands, in innocence. Only when our hearts and lives are right, and in tune with the music of heaven is such worship possible and desirable. —Milton Haack
Thy guiding grace afford, teach me Thy way! Help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight; Lead me with heav’nly light, teach me Thy way! —B. M. Ramsey |
