DAILY READINGS: Ex. 1 to 2:22; Psalm 31; Matt. 27:45-66

And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine
heart is not with me? Thou hast mocked me these three times, and
hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. Judges 16:15
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou
Me?...Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. John 21:17

How different from Delilah’s is the Lord’s response to Peter’s
three denials. Our flesh may cause us to fail our Saviour, but there is
forgiveness when we have repented. The Lord wants to use us in His
service. Learning our own weakness often makes us more gracious
when helping others with theirs. —D. M. McCulloch

Jesus! What a strength in weakness, let me hide myself in Him.
Tempted, tried, and sometimes failing, He, my strength, my victory wins.
