DAILY READINGS: Gen. 39; Psalm 17; Matt. 22:15-46 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me. Isaiah 49:23
As this present evil age concludes, the Christian who loves their Lord often feels alone, as did the remnant in Isaiah’s day. "Behold, I was left alone” (Is. 49:21). As we wait for the Saviour’s return, we can be dejected by the ridicule and rejection we experience. Yet that first glimpse of His face, that first note of His voice, and that first warmth of His touch, will instantly wipe it all away forever. —Rick Morse
